St. Mary’s Academy has been educating young women in Los Angeles since 1889. For over 100 years, our school has provided a high quality, Catholic education thanks to the ongoing and generous financial support of alumnae, friends, foundations and corporations who have chosen to invest in the school’s mission, established by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet, of assisting our students to become "all of which women are capable.”
Like other private high schools, St. Mary’s Academy is a 501(c)3 non-profit. Each year, our generous supporters help us off-set the difference between collected tuition and the trust cost of educating each student. Currently, 96% of our students receive tuition assistance in the form of scholarships and financial aid. Monetary support is provided to students via scholarship and financial aid based on both merit and a family’s financial need. We are grateful for your ongoing support of SMA.
